General

  • Very secure. The service provider that hosts Swift uses security measures like those used by the New Zealand Police and many large banks offering internet banking services.

  • Only if you allow it. IBT staff do not have access to your data unless you provide them with logon details. This event might arise if you want an IBT support person to assist with a support enquiry directly within Swift. In this situation, the choice is yours to supply a temporary logon to the IBT support person concerned. IBT Support will work through the issue with you both online and telephone. Once the support issue has been resolved we recommend you immediately change the temporary logon you issued.

  • Absolutely not. The design of Swift incorporates rigid security protocols to ensure no other broker company can access your data without your permission.

  • The service provider hosting Swift is fully protected against power failure – enabling them to keep functioning for an indefinite period. These backup power systems take over automatically if normal power supply ceases. The data you input in Swift is saved each time you move to another screen, so the most data you could lose is one screen of data.

  • Your production data is backed up daily by the service provider that hosts Swift, without interruption to service. The data is stored securely for a period of 30 days, after which the data is copied and sent to a secure, offsite storage facility.

  • The structure and design of Swift prevents any executable program file from being uploaded and run on the server. The environment that hosts Swift uses various firewall and monitoring tools to protect Swift from malicious intrusion, System software and operating systems are updated regularly and computer hardware is also protected with virus and malware detection measures, which are designed to scan, block or isolate any potential virus.

  • Swift will work on any desktop or laptop computer that has Windows 10 installed and that supports Microsoft Edge.

  • We recommend you connect to Swift using a reliable broadband connection like fibre, VDSL or ADSL.

  • Swift works with the latest version of MS Edge in IE mode. Work is underway to make Swift browser agnostic. Please contact us for an updated status, should this be of particular interest to you. To view reports in Swift, you will also require Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded for free here.

  • Very easy. The user-interface is intuitive and day-to-day broking processes are streamlined to save time and improve your bottom-line.

  • Yes, as many as you like. Because Swift is a browser-based application you can have multiple browser windows open at the same time performing different functions.

  • None. IBT is a privately owned New Zealand company, no shareholdings are owned by insurers or underwriting companies.

  • Auto-rating functionality is available with NZI, Vero, and AMP.

  • A comprehensive online help system can be accessed from within Swift.
